The Full Story

Christ International School (CIS) was started in the year 2007, away from the hustle and bustle of Bengaluru metropolitan city, and in the serenity of lush green campus at Alambady, a village in the district of Kolar, in the state of Karnataka, India. CIS was established with the vision of providing high quality educational services to its knowledge aspirants ensuring international standards in academics, content formation, skill-based training, co-curricular activities and obviously in its picturesque infrastructure outlook.

The school was founded and is presently managed, by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation, under the Carmel Educational Foundation, a charitable trust initiated by the Carmel Province of Muvattapuzha, Kerala. The CMI congregation, is an indigenous congregation, founded by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a noble heart and a great educational visionary of 19th century. The school is affiliated to the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE), New Delhi (KA218). Having a co-ed system of education with the medium of instruction being English.

The school since the year of its founding has been providing quality education to various students around the surrounding districts of Kolar, Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban. Through the years it has emerged as a leading institution in the state promising quality education integrated with moral, ethical and spiritual values along with a strong focus on academic excellence.

The motto of the Institution is ‘Excellencia et Caritas’ which translates as ‘Excellence and Love in everything we do. We work single mindedly to achieve excellence in ‘Moulding the Masters of tomorrow’. We aim at moulding our students into responsible citizens of the country through a value-based education as well as giving them a strong base in academics along with the confidence to pursue their careers any where in the world.

Christ International School has steadily grown into a multi-facilitated infrastructural facility to promote learning. Through the course of the past 13 years, it has flourished as an educational institution and continues to develop further. It aims to keep innovations and transitions alive to meet the challenges of a continuously evolving system of global education. The institution is managed in a versatile manner that provides change whenever needed.
